Enjoy The Last Of Fall Weather At The Walk For Wishes Jersey City Event

Posted in Donate Car New Jersey News, Thursday, October 17, 2013

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, make your first stop the Walk For Wishes celebration at Liberty State Park in Jersey City. The Walk For Wishes event is a great way to get out of the house and enjoy what is left of fall by running, walking or rolling along the scenic Liberty State Park course. The walk will take place through a three mile section of the park which overlooks both the New York City skyline and the Statue of Liberty. The course was recently United States Track and Field (USTAF) certified and sanctioned and is one of the best running courses in the Jersey City area.

Even if you are not interested in taking part in the walk portion of the morning, there will be plenty of other events to keep your attention Sunday morning at the Walk For Wishes. There will be face-painting artists on scene, along with free live music, crafts, refreshments and more. Bring your kids along and enjoy the wonderful fall colors together.

The Walk For Wishes event is a celebration of the more than 7,500 wishes granted by Make-A-Wish New Jersey and helps to provide funds for future wishes to be granted. The fundraiser is organized by wish families, volunteers, donors and friends. It is a great opportunity to make an impact on a wish kid’s life while participating in some healthy activities.
